Scope of report
The gemological analysis of diamonds, precious stones and other gemstones is carried out using suitable instruments, professional observation and available testing methods. The report describes findings for the article submitted for examination.

No guarantee or warranty
Neither the client nor any purchaser should regard the report as a guarantee, warranty, replacement promise or endorsement of sale, purchase, barter or any other transaction.

Opinion may vary
Gemological opinions may reasonably vary because of different grading methods, instruments, terminology or standards. OIGS and its staff are not responsible for discrepancies caused by other methods or later opinions.

Liability limitation
In case of any claim for damage to an article or damages arising directly or indirectly from the report, OIGS liability is limited to the fee received for that report.

Independent laboratory
OIGS operates as an independent laboratory and has no financial interest in the sale or purchase of diamonds, jewellery, gemstones or submitted articles.

Jurisdiction
The report is governed by the judicial system of the country where the report has been issued. Local courts are competent in case of disputes.
